To promote student success beyond the classroom, the Family Support component serves as a resource for families and all those in the greater school community. The program provides educational opportunities for adults, clinical counseling for students and their families, and increases collaboration among other neighborhood organizations to promote development in the Back of the Yards and Austin areas.

San Miguel serves as a local resource that enables families and other adults in the community to access services in the areas of safety, health, finances, immigration, and general education. Furthermore, awareness and parenting workshops equip adults with a foundation for raising a healthy and self-supporting family in urban environments.
