San Miguel Schools Chicago hosted a Stepper Set to raise funds for the school, strengthen ties within the Austin community, and provide a place for people to show off their stepping style and dress.

The first Stepper Set was held on Saturday, January 16th and hosted a DJ, and several prizes were raffled off on the night of the event.  The event raised over $1,000 and all proceeds will provide scholarship and community support to the students and families of San Miguel Schools Chicago.

Stepper Sets are rooted in predominantly African American communities and encompasses not only dance, but a certain style of dress and music.

Join us and other members of the Austin community at the next Stepper Set for a night of great food, music and stepping to support San Miguel Schools Chicago.
