San Miguel currently operates two middle schools in Chicago, one on the south side - Back of the Yards neighborhood - and the second on the west side - Austin neighborhood.

San Miguel Schools were born out of a belief that character, zeal, and opportunity -- rather than social class or environment -- are the determining factors to achieve one's goals in life.

We believe students achieve success through a combination of individualized attention, a strong focus on reading and math (core subject areas), a longer school day, a year-round calendar, strong parental support, and an extremely committed staff with compassion, patience, and talent to help children succeed.
